Arkansas is now the most pro-life state in the country, announced Americans United for Life (AUL) President and CEO Catherine Glenn Foster on Wednesday, Dec. 16, during a Family Council press conference at the State Capitol. Arkansas Right to Life (ARTL) Executive Director Rose Mimms congratulated Jerry Cox of Family Council on the AUL designation, saying “We have achieved the top honor of being the most pro-life state in our nation at a critical time in the efforts to protect and defend life. Thank you for all the Family Council has done over the years to contribute to this achievement. It is bittersweet as we face an unprecedented assault on the lives of the innocent unborn. We will be challenged more than ever before in our work on their behalf.” ARTL President Andy Mayberry, in applauding the achievement, said, “There is so much more work left to be done, both legislatively and in education. We can’t change abortion unless we change the minds and the hearts of those who feel otherwise.”
